If you are wondering where you could spend Christmas and the holiday season and what you could do some of these activities will help you choose. These activities, which are in Orlando locals and natives, are great for the holidays and I bet they will help add to your overall holiday fun.

The first one is Harry P. Leu Gardens Holiday House, which takes place from now to January 4th. This place will make you feel like you are in a traditional Christmas setting. You will be able to tour Leu Gardens with Orlando’s terrific Winter weather, and also to check out the Leu Garden house, which is all decked out in full Christmas attire. There you can see just how folks celebrated Christmas decades ago!

The second – Light Up UCF – until January 1st is the way how University of Central Florida is recreating the Winter Holidays in Florida southern style. They say Orlando is the city of magic, so if there isn’t enough snow for ice skating… ice skating rinks are build anyways! You will be able to enjoy outdoor ice skating at UCF, and besides there will be light shows every night along with rides and many more attractions near the Knight Plaza. An arctic slide will be waiting for you to ride 100 feet down!

The third icily event is ICE at Gaylord Palms Resort Orlando right through January 2nd. There you will find almost 2 million pounds of ICE, which produces a Christmas and Icy Wonderland. There are cozy igloos, a slide, and many, many ice-shaped sculptors to check out.

The Festival of the Seasons at Downtown Disney takes place until January 8th. This is one of the best places to stay during the December holiday season. No matter if you are a local Orlando resident or a visitor from out of town there is no way for you to be disappointed. Christmas and holiday décor will be all over the place and carolers, music performances, dances parties and more…

If Christmas makes you want to help someone in need you should visit the 12 bars of Christmas Pub Crawl in Downtown Orlando. This is a holiday party downtown like no other. You can bring a toy worth $20 at the door to donate or you can bring $20 and a portion will be donated The Hope Foundation. Enjoy free drinks with your ticket price along with additional drink specials at some of the best bars downtown.

This year there is an all-new holiday show: “O Wondrous Night – The Greatest Story Never Told”, even told through the eyes of live animals. But Holiday favorites are also being presented. Like Winter Wonderland on Ice – an amazing ice skating show featuring magnificent fireworks and towering water fountains. Or one show that is also back this year is the very popular nighttime holiday show “Shamu Christmas… Miracles”. Speaking of Shamu, let me tell you about Shamu’s Happy Harbor. It is just the sort of place that proves it is the cool time to be a kid. Let the young adventurer in your kids with these fun family rides.

Visiting the Happy Harbor you will meet the following friends’ rides:
Jazzy Jellies: You will feel the fun as soon as you get to the jellyfish-themed ride. When you realize that you’re in control of how fast your teacup-style car can spin, while you are rising to heights of 30 feet.
Net Climb: A fact that everyone knows is that kids love to climb. The Four-story nets link together through a series of slippery slides and winding tunnels. Another fact is that it Is big enough for parents, too!

Ocean Commotion: Feel like on a cruise ship while the high sea waves rock you gently aboard this 19 foot tug boat, rocking back and forth.
Shamu Express: Here Shamu shows the kids a soft spot on that first coaster of theirs, thrilling enough.
The Flying Fiddler: That Fiddler crab can lift you more than 20 feet in the air and then hop down through a quick series of short drops!

As you learned not only the kids, but parents can also enjoy the park and especially the little friend Shamu and his Happy Harbor. You can reach this harbor almost as easily as reaching Port Canaveral from where you can even easily reach the park.
