800px-Osaka_Seven-Seas-Mariner07s3872The first building block of the Seven Seas Explorer was placed during a special keel laying ceremony held at the Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa, Italy only a month ago. The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the creation of the most luxurious ship ever built. With the estimated investment of $450 million for the construction, it is currently the most expensive cruise liner as well. The financing is provided by Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank.

Revitalized Freedom of the Seas returns to Port Canaveral

800px-Freedom_of_the_Seas_(ship,_2007)_001The Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas returns to Port Canaveral after it underwent a 24-day dry dock refurbishment at Grand Bahama Shpyard in January 2015.

Only three years ago, the first of the Freedom class of ships, Freedom of the Seas, was the Guiness World Records holder for the largest cruise ship in the world. It is still the largest and most innovative cruise ship sailing from Port Canaveral. Continue reading
