With the addition of the Liberty on May 4 to Port Canaveral line-up, Carnival Cruise Lines already has three ships based here. In this way Carnival will increase the number of its passengers to 600,000 a year on nearly 200 cruises visiting 18 tropical islands. Thus Carnival becomes Port Canaveral’s largest cruise operator, ahead of Disney, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean. Two other Carnival ships, the Pride and the Splendor, make port-of-call stops here.

Carnival Liberty will sail year-round from Port Canaveral on five, seven and eight-day departures to the Caribbean, the Bahamas and Florida.

The 2,974-passenger cruise ship has undergone a major $500 million renovation and now it offers a variety of Fun Ship 2.0 innovations. The vacationers will enjoy a wide range of dining, bar and entertainment amenities including the Punchliner Comedy Club, a Guy Fieri hamburger joint, a 214-foot-long Twister water slide, the poolside RedFrog Rum Bar, BlueIguana Tequila Bar and many other amusement options.
