SeaWorld, Ikea and Royal Caribbean Say Goodbye to Plastic Straws and Bags

A few weeks ago, a pilot whale died off Thailand with 80 plastic bags in its digestive system. The whale had swallowed 17 pounds of garbage.

As a result, three major companies, SeaWorld, Ikea and Royal Caribbean, have vowed to remove plastic straws and bags from their properties.

Disney Cruise Line’s two biggest ships, the Dream and the Fantasy, will continue to be based at Port Canaveral through the end of 2019, the cruise line announced a few days ago.

Luxury Line Silversea Announced First World Voyage to all Seven Continents

Luxury line Silversea plans to offer a unique 140-day trip on their Silver Whisper ship, making stops all over the world.

The 140-day voyage on the all-suite 382-passenger Silver Whisper will start January 6, 2020 in Fort Lauderdale and include stops at 62 ports in 32 countries. It will end May 25, 2020 in Amsterdam.

Carnival Horizon Getting Final Touches

Florida-bound Carnival Horizon construction is in the final stages.

Carnival Horizon is arriving in just a few months. The cruise ship is currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyards in Italy and it is slated to debut April 2, 2018.

Revamp of Royal Caribbean ship will add virtual reality trampoline.

New features coming to Mariner of the Seas as part of a $90 million refurbishment this year, revealed Royal Caribbean a few days ago.

The cruise line that boasts the largest cruise ships at sea is sending Mariner of the Seas into drydock for $90 million refurbishments that will add new features to the ship: a new attraction called the Sky Pad- virtual reality, bungee jump, and trampoline. There will be other facilities like a new sports bar, Tiki bar, water slides, restaurants and more. Continue reading
