Ritz-Carlton Plans to Launch Luxury Hotels-on-Sea

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company announced on Thursday that it will soon enter the cruise industry.
The luxury, five-star hotel chain, which is owned by Marriot International MAR, will debut the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, a fleet of three 298-passenger ultra-luxe vessels: somewhere between a private superyacht and a small ocean liner. Continue reading

MSC Cruises Announced Plans for Massive World Class of Cruise Ships

MSC Cruises revealed its new class of cruise ships.

The Swiss-based European company unveiled some details for its new class of cruise ships. The vessels will be among the largest in the world- they will boast 2,760 cabins and carry a maximum of 6,850 guests which is 70 more than the current record-holder, Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas. First Meraviglia Class Cruise Ship Takes to the Sea

Swiss-based cruise line MSC Cruises officially took delivery of its biggest ship ever, then three days later, the vessel was christened.

Coast Guard Cutter Eagle Arrives In Port Canaveral, Open For Free Tours

The Coast Guard Cutter Barque Eagle, “America’s Tall Ship” arrived in Port Canaveral and will be open for free, public tours through June 4.

The ship will be moored for five days at Cruise Terminal 3, 220 Christopher Columbus Drive.

The tour schedule is:

Wednesday, May 31 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Thursday, June 1 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Friday, June 2 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Saturday, June 3 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Sunday, June 4 – closed

The summer 2017 deployment lasts five months and includes 14 ports, including Port Canaveral and four international ports.

The Coast Guard Cutter Eagle last visited Port Canaveral 13 years ago. After Florida, the crew will set sail to Norfolk, Virginia.
