Royal Caribbean says Key West could open for tourism by Oct. 20.
According to Royal Caribbean, Key West’s government official said the popular destination to open for tourism in just over a month. Andy Newman, CEO of media relations for the Monroe County Tourist Development Council, confirmed that Key West has set October 20 as a target date for reopening Florida Keys city visitors. Newman added that it could be sooner.

Major Cruise Ships Will Go Ahead with Barcelona Calls Following Terror Attack
Most major cruise lines scheduled to have stops in Barcelona, Spain, will go ahead as planned despite the terror attack on Thursday when a van mowed down pedestrians and left 13 people dead and more than 100 injured in the touristic center of Las Ramblas.
The famous Las Ramblas Boulevard is one of the top destinations for cruisers visiting the city. The tree-lined pedestrian promenade is flanked by roads on either side of its Raval and Gothic quarters.
Barcelona is one of the biggest cruise ports in Europe. It’s visited by hundreds of cruise ships every year.

Norwegian Cruise Line Opens Bookings for New Cuba Sailings

Norwegian Sun cruises to Cuba from Port Canaveral are now on sale.
The Miami-based line will send Norwegian Sun to Cuba from Port Canaveral on four-night trips beginning next summer.

Norwegian Cruise Line has just begun taking reservations for the four-night trips, which will kick off in May 2018. The plans for the sailings were announced earlier this month. The voyages will take place every week during the summer with departures on Mondays, beginning May 7 next year. Continue reading
