The 3rd GPS IIF Satellite is being launched from Cape Canaveral on 4th October
On the 4th of October the rocket Delta IV will be launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station near Orlando. It will be carrying a GPS Satellite that will help for the positioning services for the public and the military.
It is scheduled to be launched at 8:10 a.m. on Thursday from the Atlantic Coast of Cape Canaveral. The time from the ignition of the main engine through to the separation of the second stage is scheduled to be over three hours.
The Rocket is the third spacecraft being used as a GPS Satellite and will be replacing the first one and the oldest of them. The GPS Satellites have helped with improving the location capabilities of this kind of technology.
On May 27th 2010 was launched the first GPS IIF Satellite and entered service on August 26th 2010. The second was launched on July 16th 2011 and entered service on August 22th 2011.
There are contracted to be 12 GPS IIF Satellites. Three of these Boeings are ready and stored and the rest six of them are being tested.

Canaveral Port Authority had added a $64 million complex that included a New Dock, Terminal and a multilevel Parking Garage conveniently located on the north side of the port right next to Disney Terminal. The new terminal will be catering to Carnival Cruise Line Ships like the Carnival Ecstasy which departs Monday on a five-night Bahamas cruise that returns on Saturday, with stops at Nassau, Freeport and the private Bahamian island of Half Moon Cay. Other Carnival ships based at Port Canaveral and may use this terminal are: The 3,646-passenger Carnival Dream, sailing on seven-day Caribbean cruises departing on Saturdays, and the 2,052-passenger Carnival Sensation, which offers three- and four-day Bahamas cruises departing Sundays and Thursday.

The Disney Dream is a Panamax – cruise ship of the American shipping company Disney Cruise Line . It is the first ship to the shipping company on the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg ( Ems was built). With a length of almost 340 meters, and a survey of approximately 130,000 gross tonnage was the Disney Dream on delivery in December 2010, the largest cruise ship built in Germany.

History:

On 24 April 2007 ordered the Disney Cruise Line , the two post-Panamax cruise ship Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy at the Papenburg shipyard Meyer Werft . On 2 March 2009, the cut of the shipbuilding began reinforcing steel and the end of August of the same year, the keel was laid . On 1 June 2010 was the last building block, a 260-ton portion of the bow mounted. After undocking on 30 October 2010 was the Disney Dream in the night of 12 on the 13th November 2010 from Papenburg on the pent Ems to Eemshaven transferred from where the shipyard began sea trials, the ship was equipped.
It was the last transfer under the flag of the Meyer Werft on Hamburg to Bremerhaven . There the ship was on 9 December – symbolized by the traditional flag change – from the Meyer Werft to the president of Disney Cruise Line, Karl Holz, passed. At the Columbus Quay was still the completion of the equipment and supplies, as well as the ship’s crew, Captain Tom Forberg took command of the ship.
