Harmony of the Seas to be the World’s Largest Cruise Ship

The ship which is currently under construction at the STX shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, will span 16 decks and it will carry 5,479 passengers, surpassing its sister ships Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas. A Suite the Size of a House Aboard the Seven Seas Explorer

The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the creation of the most luxurious ship ever built. With the estimated investment of $450 million for the construction, it is currently the most expensive cruise liner as well. The financing is provided by Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank.

Revitalized Freedom of the Seas returns to Port Canaveral

Widow sells home to live full-time on luxury cruise ship

800px-Crystal_Serenity_02Lee Wachtstetter, an 86-year-old widow from Florida, sold her five-bedroom home on 10 acres in the area of Fort Lauderdale and became a permanent luxury cruise ship resident for only $164,000 a year, according to Florida Today.

The widow used to love cruising with her husband and she promised him she would keep on the tradition. After her husband passed away, she took her daughter’s advice, decided to be on the move and to see the world while living in the lap of luxury. Continue reading
